Carol Barton-Jones

Carol has been practising art throughout her life, driven by her interest in colour and form and her desire to interpret the world as she sees and experiences it. She has always adopted an experimental approach, using a variety of media and styles - not wishing to be characterised by any one of them specifically.

This has culminated in her recent collection of canvases entitled 'Parallel Order' in which she expresses her current fascination with complementary hues and geometric patterns. She hopes that the balance of simple shapes and colours will communicate her love of both mathematics and art as well as the capacity of each to inform and translate the other.

It's another step in her understanding and development as an artist.
