Emily Garces

Emily's artwork reveals the extraordinary that inhabits our everyday lives. Rather than a direct portrayal of the world, her paintings are transcendental windows. What's she feels when painting is as important to her as what she sees.

Emily was born in the United Kingdom in 1981, but has since spent several years in Argentina; where she met her husband, Dario. For now they are settled with their two young sons in a village near Chesterfield, England. Close access to the Peak District has inspired many of Emily's recent Paintings.

Although she has studied art, Emily is primarily self-taught. She has held exhibitions in South America and Europe.
